Give me a “T”, give me a “R”, give me a “U”!.

The Thompson Rivers University Cheerleading squad is about to hold its annual try outs.  The Cheerleaders not only appear at various WolfPack varsity sports games, but they are also involved in a number of activities in the community.

Head coach Mari Steinmann and assistant coach Aly Nuyens are looking for some new recruits.  The cheerleaders will be holding tryouts for their squad and for “Wolfie” the mascot on Saturday September 12 th.  The Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Center is the location for the tryouts.

“We are looking for both men and women,” says Nuyens.  “Experience in gymnastics, dance and cheerleading is an asset but not required.”

Information regarding practice schedules will be given out at that first meeting, which begins starting at 12:30 pm.  Anyone trying out will need to bring clean running shoes and wear soft clothing.

For more information, contact the cheerleaders at tru_cheerleaders@mytru.ca.  The Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Center is located at the Tournament Capital Center.
