WOLFPACK MVB NOW TIED FOR 6 TH IN CIS RANKINGS February 9, 2010

Despite not playing last week, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s volleyball team remains sixth in the most recent CIS top 10 rankings. However, they are not alone.

Following  a sweep of the Calgary Dinos, the Brandon University Bobcats find themselves tied with TRU for sixth spot with one week remaining in the regular season.  The WolfPack will close things out at home Friday and Saturday nights (Feb 12 and 13) against Trinity Western while Brandon entertains the last place University of Regina Cougars.

The top three spots in the CIS top 10 remain unchanged from last week: Laval Rouge et Or is number one followed by Dalhousie and the two time defending national champion Alberta Golden Bears.  The University of Winnipeg Wesmen, based on their  two 3-0 wins over Regina have moved from seventh spot into fourth.  Calgary is now fifth.

McMaster Marauders have dropped from fifth to eighth spot.

The remaining teams in the top 10 are the Trinity Western Spartans)(was eighth and is now ninth) and the Manitoba Bisons who sit in 10 th spot.
